Neighborhood Center of South Morrow County
The Neighborhood Center has been in operation since January 27th, 1987 and for the past 34 years has helped countless individuals and families get back on their feet with the emergency programs and food pantry assistance.
The Neighborhood Center is the local food pantry and thrift store for South Morrow County residents. Among the many resources the center offers, we help those in need with a variety of frozen meats, dairy and pantry staples to feed their families for a week. The clients walk through our People’s Choice Pantry which enables them to ‘shop’ much like they would at a grocery store, rather than receiving a pre-packaged food box. To qualify for the food box program, eligibility is based on the current year USDA-TEFAP Commodity Guidelines.
We also provides (one time per year) financial assistance in electricity, water and rent for those who qualify for the monthly food box program.
Emergency clothing, shoes, household wares and furniture are also gifted to those in need who are without the funds to pay for them.
